🛒 eCommerce Store Support

A practical document for learning how VAs support product listings, SEO descriptions, categories, inventory, and client-ready product data.

What You Should Be Able to Do

  • Understand what VAs usually do inside online stores
  • Prepare product listing information before publishing
  • Write clear titles, descriptions, tags, SKUs, and image alt text
  • Use the practice task library to simulate real marketplace work

1. Common eCommerce VA Tasks

An eCommerce VA helps keep product pages accurate, organized, and ready for buyers. Your job is to make listings easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to buy.

  • Create or update product listings
  • Write SEO-friendly product titles and descriptions
  • Organize products into categories, collections, or departments
  • Check SKU, price, stock, tags, shipping notes, and image placeholders

2. Product Listing Checklist

Before submitting a product listing, check every field like a client would. Missing details can make a listing look unfinished or hurt search visibility.

  • Title is specific, searchable, and easy to read
  • Description explains benefits, features, size, material, and use case
  • Keywords are used naturally without stuffing
  • Category, tags, SKU, price, and image alt text are complete

3. Platform Differences

Each platform has its own workflow. Shopify uses products and collections. WooCommerce works inside WordPress. Etsy depends heavily on tags. Amazon requires strict formatting and compliance. Your practice goal is to recognize the fields and know what they mean.

  • WooCommerce: product data, short description, category, image, gallery
  • Shopify: title, media, description, pricing, inventory, collections
  • Etsy: photos, title, category, attributes, 13 tags, inventory and pricing
  • Amazon: product identity, vital info, offer, bullets, keywords, images

Fill This Out While Learning

  1. Choose one product from the practice library
  2. Fill in title, description, keywords, category, tags, price, SKU, and image alt text
  3. Review the platform preview before submitting
  4. Submit the task and check the score feedback
